They’ve worked together for years and one things for sure – Darren Palmer and Neale Whitaker’s connection goes much deeper than an eye for design and detail.
‘Neale is an old friend of mine,’ Darren spills to New Idea.
‘He actually helped me all the way through my career. We’ve got a really long back story.’
‘The first project I ever did he put in Belle magazine [which Neale formerly edited]. He singled me out as a “mood maker” two years into my career, and then when I did [TV show] homeMade as a contestant, he was the judge.’
Ever since joining Neale on The Block, their friendship has only blossomed.
‘[Neale] wrote the foreword for my book,’ he says. ‘He’s a good friend and he’s always had my back.’
The Block airs Monday to Wednesday, 7.30pm, and Sunday, 7pm, Channel Nine.
