Back in week one, Jesse and Mel angered Scott Cam when they refused to follow The Block’s rules and now it appears that the couple are at war with the judges again.
“Sometimes the judges made comments that I disagree with,” Jesse tells New Idea.
“But we are doing our own thing. We are building to sell the house for the highest price on auction day not to impress the judges every week.”

While they did impress judges Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Neale Whitaker at first, they have failed to land praise ever since.
Their master bedroom saw the couple plummet to last place in the most recent room reveal and pictures show them looking strained on set. Could this be a wake-up call for the couple or will they continue to do things their own way? “I did take a couple of styling tips,” admits Mel.
“We went in with a plan and we know the judges are going to give feedback, but we are building this house for someone to buy it.”
