Get ready for the most explosive week in My Kitchen Rules history, as fiery showdowns, bitter confrontations and a shock walkout send tensions soaring.

At the centre of the angry clashes is Group Two’s resident villain Josh, who takes on fellow competitors Alyse and Court throughout the week.
The rows become so bad that light-hearted Sydney sisters Kelsey and Amanda threaten to quit the show, as the foul language and raised tempers take their toll.

But it’s the showdown between Broome troublemaker Josh and Queensland newlywed Alyse that raises the most eyebrows, as they go head-to-head all week long.

‘Josh is 110 per cent horrid and that’s his nature,’ Alyse tells New Idea. ‘I don’t think he is acting or doing it for publicity, it’s just his personality – he is nasty.

‘I was really opposed to the way he spoke to Amy, his wife. He actually said around the table: “If I wanted to score this dish a one and Amy wanted to give it an eight, we would be giving it a one. There is nothing in the middle, I call the shots.” ’

‘When he said it, we kind of looked at each other in shock.’

But Josh makes no apologies for his conflict with Alyse.

‘I didn’t go out of my way to get into fights with people,
I just didn’t like it when people on camera act completely different from how they act behind scenes,’ he tells New Idea.

‘So I just called it out for what it was time and time again.

‘Alyse and Matt were our rivals from the start – Alyse is a bit pretentious and she is fake and I can’t stand that.

‘She is trying to sell herself as a scriptwriter and says she’s got a film in the Cannes Film Festival, then says she’s done this and that in fashion and she is going to retire with her fashion money. Even Matt, her own partner, was shaking his head.’

But Alyse says it wasn’t just Josh who ruffled her feathers, admitting there was conflict with his wife Amy as well. ‘Josh can be quite nasty, but
I think Amy is cut from the same cloth,’ Alyse tells New Idea.

‘She has definitely been very vocal and nasty to me behind closed doors. Apparently she is saying things like: “You know Alyse is sitting in an ivory tower judging people.” I just don’t know where that’s come from.

‘It’s possible that she feels threatened by me, by Matt and my marriage. It’s very odd.’
