Terri Irwin and Russell Crowe are finalising their plans to build another Australia Zoo – in the US!
The $250 million project is being reviewed by planning and development officials in California, with the intensely private couple looking to begin construction in late 2017.
The development – which will be built near Clovis, outside of Los Angeles – is said to be the brainchild of Oscar winner Russell, who’s been encouraging Terri to expand her Australia Zoo empire. The pair decided on the US due to Bindi’s enormous success on Dancing With The Stars and the deep love and affection Americans hold for the late Steve Irwin.
‘When Terri and Russ really started talking about doing a new Australia Zoo together, doing it in the United States was the natural choice,’ a well-placed source tells New Idea.
