Teen Mom star Maci Bookout kept a big secret from her son Bentley, about his dad Ryan – but now the truth is out.
Ryan is engaged, after proposing to girlfriend Mackenzie, and Maci says she didn’t want her boy to know about it before dad was ready to tell him himself.
‘[Mackenzie] called me and told me, and Bentley was going to their house the next day,’ Maci reveals.
‘And she was super-excited when she called me. She told me not to tell Bentley because they planned to tell him in person the next day.
‘It was a tough secret to keep because I wanted to be excited with him, but obviously, it wasn’t my place to tell him.’
While some step mums have problems fitting in, Maci insists that she has no problems with Mackenzie.
‘They genuinely care about each other,’ she says of the coupling. ‘They have a very healthy relationship.
‘I like her, so it has to be easier on him.’
