Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has shared shocking details about her drug use including overdosing on cold medicine, and being left passed out on heroin while her ex enjoyed his high.
Evans wrote in her memoir Read Between The Lines: Diary of a Teenage Mom that in 2006 she had taken 24 decongestant pills after being told the high is a ‘weird trip that you would never forget.’
‘I took six pills at first, then waited,’ she says. ‘I got a little lightheaded but nothing else… I got nothing from it, so I took six more. Where were my hallucinations? Where was my unusual insight to the universe? All I got was a queasy feeling. So, I took six more.’
She eventually took the whole pack when she realised something was very wrong. She told her mother what she had done when she felt nausea and chest pains set in.
Her mother, Barbara, screamed when she heard what her girl had done. Oddly she didn’t take her to the hospital, but rather laid Jenelle on the couch and checked own her until the symptoms passed.
That wasn’t to be the only time Jenelle took too many drugs.
While dating ex-boyfriend Kiefer Delp she says the pair would shoot heroin and smoke weed and ‘laid around chillin’.
She says she had blacked out and woke up in the bathroom with ‘no idea how long I was out or what I did during that time.’
When she confronted Keiffer to ask why he didn’t take her to the hospital he apparently shrugged, ‘sometimes that just happens.’
Explaining she said: ‘Sometimes you just blackout. Sometimes you lie around on the bathroom floor while your boyfriend enjoys his high…Sometimes you go down and you don’t get back up.’
Realising how close she had come to not getting back up, the mum-of-three checked into rehab shortly after.
