Scandal-hit newsreader Amber Sherlock has returned to the Nine studios today, amid reports that she is set for high powered meetings with the network’s news director and human resources team.
The star – who was the subject of an embarrassing leaked video, in which she is seen berating colleague Julie Snook for wearing the same colour as her – was not rostered for work today, say sources.
A Nine insider has been quoted today as saying that no one is being ‘hauled in’ over the scandal, but the network was instead concerned for the wellbeing of its staff amid the social media frenzy over the viral video, calling the drama a ‘difficult time for our staff’.
While many are seeing the funny side of the video, highly career-driven Amber is believed to be devastated – with sources saying she broke down in tears upon learning the video had leaked to the public.
A source further added that reports the leaker had already been identified were not true.
