Just when it seemed things had died down in the Jack family feud, young AFL star Kieren has fuelled the fire.
The 29-year-old Swans player has announced his engagement to model Charlotte Goodlet on Instagram despite rumours their relationship has torn Kieran’s family apart.
The blonde beauty showed off her huge diamond engagement ring in an image of the couple with their British bulldog, Nelson.
‘I’m so excited to spend the rest of my life with you and our sad looking dog. I love you so, so much,’ the 24-year-old wrote alongside an image of the pair.
According to reports, the Jack family are embroiled in a war of words thanks to Kieren’s relationship with Charlotte.
The family rift is understood to have started in 2014 when club-issued flights and accommodation for that year’s AFL Grand Final were offered to Charlotte’s parents instead of Kieren’s mum and dad.
Earlier this year, Kieren’s mother Donna infamously took to Twitter to reveal her son had banned she and her husband Garry from attending his milestone 200th AFL game.
‘So sad … you 200 AFL & you don’t want us there, your parents. No appreciation for all the yrs helping you get there,’ Donna wrote in a post that was later deleted.
However, Kieran publicly sided with his long-term girlfriend.
‘My priorities of support are firmly with my partner and my little brother who I love and care for very much,’ he said at a press conference.
He added: ‘It’s been tough on her. She doesn’t deserve the treatment she has received.
‘She is strong… she is an independent woman.’
