'Our baby dream is coming true'

Fresh from winning melanoma battle, Susie Maroney is chasing a new dream to prove that ‘nothing is impossible’.

The marathon swim champion is trying for an IVF baby with her finance, inspirational quadriplegic Perry Cross, and fertility experts have assured the couple that there’s a good chance of success.

‘It’s something we both really want to do, because we love each other so much,’ says Susie, 41, smiling despite the disappointing failure of their first IVF attempt in February.

‘I’m really at the age where it’s now or never, with Perry getting older too,’ explains the doting mother-of-three, who can now reveal she was undergoing IVF treatment during her cancer battle earlier this year.
