She’s $500 thousand dollars richer after winning Australian Survivor and Kristie Bennett knows exactly how she will spend it.
After making it through a six-and-a-half-hour immunity challenge and pipping Queenslander Lee Carseldine, 41, at the post, Kristie plans to give a rescue dog the trip of a lifetime.
‘I am going to buy and convert a van and do it up and travel around Australia. I’m also going to rescue the oldest dog from the dog shelter to take with me,’ she said.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Kristie dedicated her win to ‘all the people that feel a little bit different.’
‘I’m taking one for all the people that feel a little bit different, a little bit weird, who don’t quite fit the mode of what society thinks of them,’ Kristie said.
‘I believe that I’ve proven, it’s okay to be yourself, no matter what.’
