Netflix has just announced a date for the second season of Stranger Things and good news fans, it’s a smidge earlier than the Halloween debut we expected.
Bookmark your calendars and prepare to chuck a sickie, the second season will be released on Netflix October 27, 2017 A new poster revealing this date shows a blood red sky and young members of the cast, promising a season just as gripping as the last.
According to press releases, the second season is set in 1984 as citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demagorgon and the terrors of the Hawkins Lab.
Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) was rescued from the Upside Down at the end of the last season but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived. And where is Eleven (Millie Bobbie Brown)?
We’d also like to add a little #justiceforbarb to that statement. ‘Cause, she deserved better man… she deserved better.

New cast members will include Paul Reiser, Linnea Berthelsen, Sadie Sink and Australia’s own Dacre Montgomery, along with Sean Astin who we all remember as Lord of the Rings’ Samwise Gamgee.
