After a tumultuous few months battling a bitter divorce and fighting for custody of his six children Brad Pitt is seeking treatment for addiction, according to a stunning US report that now has his camp in a spin.
According to Radar, the 53-year-old is desperate to get his life back on track, and has sworn off all alcohol and illicit drugs – the vices that allegedly ruined his marriage to Angelina Jolie.
It’s been reported that the Oscar winner recently coughed up $15,000 on a five-night sober retreat inside luxury five-star Santa Monica resort, Casa Del Mar.
Whilst there, a source claimed the Allied actor attended a “Narcotics Anonymous” group party in an effort to help himself stay clean.
“Brad’s benefitted from the principles and rules that come with dedicated sobriety, and he’s found a way to celebrate it, too,” the source told Radar.
“His friends have been key in helping him see the positives from clean living, which is why they arranged this sober divorce party!”
Despite this, those close to the star have denied he is “secretly getting help.”
“Brad did not go to rehab,” a source told ET on Wednesday.
Recent reports claim that Jolie has requested $10,00 per month in child support for Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, a figure that has also been slammed by the source.
“[Brad’s team] is strictly following the privacy agreement between the two of them,” they revealed.
“[Brad’s team] has never spoken about the kids and won’t be starting now.”
