Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi have been blissfully married for 9 years, but now Ellen’s former flame, actress Anne Heche, has Portia seeing red, claims Star magazine.
Anne, who recently split from her boyfriend of 10 years, James Tupper, is reportedly still holding a torch for her ex.
‘Ellen was her great love,’ spills a friend close to Anne. ‘Even though Ellen is married to Portia, Anne would love to reunite.’
Anne reached out to Ellen in the wake of her father, Elliot’s, death, offering the talk show host a shoulder to cry on, reveals Star. ‘They had a very bitter break-up, so Anne used Elliot’s passing as an excuse to call Ellen up,’ says the source. ‘She said life is too short to have enemies and wanted to make amends.
Now, the publication claims that they are growing close again, but Portia isn’t too happy about their new friendship. ‘Ellen’s insisting it’s just about clearing the air and forming a friendship,’ says the source. ‘But Portia’s starting to get suspicious.’
What’s more, this isn’t the first time the actress has felt this way, says the Star. It was previously reported that Portia didn’t approve of Ellen’s closeness with Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon.
‘These two have really been through the wringer and managed to stay together, but they haven’t faced anything like this before,’ says the source. ‘If Anne worms her way into their relationship, there’s a chance they could be in serious trouble.’
Ellen, Portia and Anne have yet to respond to Star‘s claims.
