It’s been more than a decade since Shane Warne and Simone Callahan called off their 10-year marriage. But New Idea can exclusively reveal the controversial cricketer is keen to win Simone back for good.
A former romantic interest of the Spin King, who is still in contact with him, claims Shane is feeling guilty over his philandering past and is regretful over how things turned out with his ‘true love’. Furthermore, he has been making ‘deep’ and ‘flirty’ phone conversations that delve into the former partners’ past and the ‘good times they once shared’.
Says the source: ‘Shane has never stopped loving Simone. It’s taken him all this time to finally realise that he still wants to be with her.’
After recently being caught in a late-night tryst with Brynne Edelsten, before being sprung in May using a sugar daddy dating website in London to meet young women, Shane is said to appreciate the loyalty Simone has shown him. ‘He feels really guilty for the way things have turned out and says she deserved better,’ says the friend. ‘She was always loyal, and these days it seems every other woman he meets just sells him out.’
