Just days after nude photos from her previous stint as a webcam model surfaced online, Seven Year Switch’s Kaitlyn Isham is dealing with the revelation of more shocking details emerging from her past.
An offence report obtained by news.com.au reveals Kaityln called police in 2011 over an incident in which she alleged she had been ‘punched in the face several times in the nose by her stepfather’.
The report states that the now 28-year-old was ‘crying and visibly upset’ with a ‘bloody nose’ when police arrived at her Floriday family home.
Isham was living with her mother and stepdad temporarily after graduating from college and although the charges were later dropped, the report adds: ‘Kaitlyn appeared to have a slightly bloody nose and had blood on her left foot and blood droplets on her nightgown.’
According to the statement, Isham told the officer the incident occurred in the kitchen after she slammed the microwave door closed several times while her stepfather, Patrick Dabney was watching TV. Mr Dabney told her to ‘keep it down, so she slammed the door several more times to ‘irritate’ him.
‘Kaitlyn advised at this time her stepfather came into the kitchen and punched her in the face causing her nose to bleed,’ the report continues.
While Kaitlyn’s mum, Donna agreed her daughter “instigated a physical confrontation” with Mr Dabney by “intentionally making a lot of noise in the kitchen to upset him,’ all charges against Mr Dabney were later dropped and Kaitlyn refused to have pictures taken of her bloodied nose.
In a statement to news.com.au Kaitlyn revealed she now had a “great relationship” with her stepfather.
‘This happened a long time ago during an incredibly tragic and emotional time for my entire family.’
‘I have a great relationship with my family, including my stepfather — and I am grateful for their love, trust and support. They are good people.’
The Seven Year Switch star’s mum, Donna, also added:
‘She’s always been a big-hearted girl,’ she said of her daughter.
‘She always has been, always will be. She’s sweet, sensitive and very honest.’
