Schapelle Corby has posted a cheeky Instagram post mocking the media coverage of her return home to Australia.
The convicted drug smuggler took to Instagram on Monday night to share a video of herself and her family watching live chopper footage following a convoy of cars believed to be carrying Corby from Brisbane airport.
“It’s the convoy,” her sister Mercedes can be heard narrating the clip.
“Pelle’s being chased by a helicopter. In that car.”
“But there we are,” she adds, panning the camera to the smiling 39-year-old as she shrugs her shoulders.
Corby captioned the post: “They’re doing what they do best… thanks for our friend John for helping & Tom for the cars. Awsome. Thankyou x.”
Fans were quick to show their support of the freed drug mule, writing comments such as “Bahaha I love this. Looking great Schapelle all the best xxx,” and “This is so funny! Nice work.”
But others were clearly less than impressed with the post.
“Awesome, nothing better than seeing journalists being screwed over and made to look like idiots!” one user penned.
It is the first time Corby has shown her face to the public since she was deported from Indonesia, despite sharing numerous celebratory posts with her 169k Instagram followers.
