Actor Samuel Johnson has revealed that he has reached the target of raising $10 million for his charity, Love Your Sister.
Almost two years after his sister, Connie Johnson, sadly passed away from the disease, the 41-year-old continued the Love Your Sister campaign that they began together.

“First I promised my sister then I promised all of us,” Johnson wrote in a social media post.
“It took 7 years. We came good. Thank you. $10m for cancer research banked.
“I’m the proudest brother in the world right now.”
Recently, Sam shared that Love Your Sister was almost at its goal.
“Day #80, sitting just shy of $9.9M, and I’m exactly where I should be. We stand at the precipice of our collective promise to raise $10M for cancer research, and we’re doing it in exactly the manner Connie would have expected. On the ground. Face to face. With all the love,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
According to WHO, Sam famously quit acting in order to raise money for Love Your Sister.
The siblings devoted themselves to raising money for cancer research after Connie received her terminal diagnosis in 2010.
Before her death in 2017, Sam’s sister was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for her service to those with breast cancer.
