We all remember the day news broke that Blake the snake Garvey had unceremoniously dumped The Bachelor winner Sam Frost.
Despite proposing to Sam during the finale of Season 2, Channel Ten swiftly announced that they had split… and not long after Blake confirmed he had left her for the second runner up, Louise Pillidge.
Sam kept pretty quiet about the whole ordeal, but two years later we’ve finally gotten the story of how it went down.
The day after the finale was filmed, Blake met with Sam, the producer and the publicist to break the news.
‘It was with the Executive Producer of the show and the publicist… I think he had thought he’d made it very clear, but he hadn’t,’ she said.
‘Our publicist literally said – “What are you trying to say? Are you breaking up with Sam? What is going on?” And then they looked at me and said “Sam – what is going on?” And I go – “I dunno, don’t look at me. I’m not the one talking.”‘
Of course, there was light at the end of the tunnel. Sam agreed to be Australia’s first Bachelorette, and fell in love with now boyfriend Sasha Mielczarek.
‘I felt it straight away with Sash, and I turned into a nervous wreck.’
