Sally Obermeder’s little family became complete after she welcomed her second daughter, Elyssa via a surrogate in December last year.
And now, the TV host has revealed that her daughter’s birth mother will always ‘continue to be involved’ in the family’s life.
‘I think [Rachel and I will] have a very tight bond for life,’ she told the Sydney Morning Herald.
‘We Facetime all the time…it feels very natural. It’s just like sending photos of your kids to your friends.’
Additionally, Sally revealed her second-time around at parenting, following the birth of her daughter Annabelle, 5, while she was battling breast cancer, had felt completely different
‘I can’t remember Annabelle smiling, I can’t remember this, I can’t remember that…It was so tough at that time with Annabelle…it’s almost like this is my first experience of it in this way.’
Welcoming Elyssa was overwhelming for Sally, who was diagnosed with breast cancer a day before she gave birth to Annabelle, in October 2011.
After a year of chemotherapy, Sally was given the all-clear but warned that it was too dangerous for her to fall pregnant again.
