Sad news for Michael Buble

“Noah’s so weak and frightened”

Michael Buble has pulled out of hosting next month’s Brit Awards in order to look after his son who is suffering from liver cancer.

According to The Sun, the 41-year old has told bosses he will miss what would have been the biggest gig of his career in order to focus on saving the life of 3-year-old Noah.

“Michael was waiting until the nominations before making a call on whether or not to host,” an insider told New Idea.

“Noah’s doing okay and the prognosis is still very good, but I don’t think anyone could have prepared Michael and Luisana for how the chemo would take it out of him. Noah’s so weak and frightened, he’s in a lot of pain and he’s lost a lot of weight – neither of them are prepared to leave his side for one moment.”

“It’s completely changed both Michael and Luisana,” the insider continued.

“They can’t reconcile their world right now with the trivialties of showbusiness. He knows he’d be a total dud of a host right now. His heart’s just not in it. His job right now is Noah and his wife and Elias. Noah’s being such a brave little boy, as is his little brother. It really was a no-brainer to bail on hosting a huge awards show like that. Michael’s got enough on his plate.”

The Feeling Good singer previously confirmed the news that he was presenting the awards back in October, when he took to Instagram to share a snap of himself holding a placard with the Brit Awards logo on it.

“Soooo…… ummm… yeah. I’m frickin’ hosting the @brits!! I’ve got some big shoes to fill. Four of ‘em,” he captioned the pic.

But in November Michael and his wife Luisana Lopilato, 29, – who welcomed their second child in January last year – revealed they were putting their careers on hold after confirming Noah’s cancer diagnosis.

It’s understood that Noah, who has been given a 90 percent chance of survival, will be undergoing four months of chemotherapy in an effort to recover from the illness.
