Russell Crowe shot to A-list global fame in Gladiator, and it looks like he might be headed back to the role that made him an international sensation.
Kicking a ball around a Sydney park with mates this week, the star might just be getting in shape again, as director Ridley Scott talks up a possible sequel.
‘I know how to bring him back,’ says Ridley of the star’s very dead character.
‘I was having this talk with the studio — “but he’s dead.”
‘But there is a way of bringing him back. Whether it will happen I don’t know.’
The director confesses that Russell has changed a lot since the 2017 film, but that too can be fixed!
‘Gladiator was 2000, so Russell’s changed a little bit. He’s doing something right now but I’m trying to get him back down here.’
Keep chasing that ball, Rusty!
