Love is in the air!

After finalising his divorce auction recently, Russell Crowe has reportedly moved on and is head over heels for a new love.

‘There have been rumours swirling for a few months now that Russ has fallen for a new woman in a pretty major way,’ says a close source.

‘It’s one of the reasons he was keen to do his divorce auction, so he could move on in every way,’ the source added.

One of the items he is auctioning off is a ring he gifted his ex-wife Danielle Spencer worth around $160K, which according to Russ made her uncomfortable. ‘She’s

worn it a couple of times…she felt she was putting her friends in an uncomfortable position, so she put it away,’ he told Kyle and Jackie O.

But now, the 53-year-old is said to be so smitten he’s ready to confirm his relationship after months of keeping quiet about it.

Russ said recently, ‘Divorce has its way of making you really examine the things that are essential in life – and the things that are not.’

The actor ‘wanted to keep his new relationship on the down-low because he didn’t want all eyes on them so early’, said the source. ‘But once his auction was done, he’s determined to go public and start building a future with her.’

The unidentified woman has only been introduced to Russ’ inner circle, but according to the insider, the actor is already getting serious.

‘Only his closest friends have been introduced to the new mystery woman, but it’s clear that Russ is very taken with her,’ says an insider.

Russ and Danielle separated in 2012 and finalised their split last year.

The actor openly spoke of a reconciliation, but when that didn’t happen, rumours circulated that he had grown very close to the late Steve Irwin’s wife Terri.

Now Russ is said to be hoping his new romance will be long-term.

‘After his marriage to Danielle ended and his relationship with Terri fizzled out, he became determined to find happiness. He doesn’t want to grow old alone and he’s hoping this new romance is going to develop into something very special and enduring.’
