Russell Crowe may have just given away some rather exciting news about Ed Sheeran.
Speaking on the Fitzy and Wippa show on Friday, the 53-year-old actor appeared to let slip that the British crooner is engaged to his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.
Speaking of their friendship, Russell explained Ed had been a regular visitor to his farm on the New South Wales north coast.
‘He was on tour here and he was getting a bit burned out so he came up and stayed at the farm for a couple of days to get some sleep and then we became conversational mates.
‘He has subsequently gone back to the farm with his fiancée for more time.’
While there has been no official word from Ed, the singer was rumoured to have been planning to propose in February when he last visited Australia.
Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O show, Ed has said he felt ready to settle down with Cherry.
Kyle Sandilands asked Ed about the possibility of starting a family with Cherry and he replied: Yeah, potentially. I would like some kids.’
‘So is this a marriage thing?’ Kyle continued, prompting the British singer to respond: ‘I’m pretty… yeah I feel pretty good about it.’
