Former Sex And The City star Cynthia Nixon is said to be considering running for governor of New York.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the actress – who played lawyer Miranda Hobbs in the popular TV show – has been approached by liberal groups and encouraged to mount a Democratic primary challenge against Gov Andrew Cuomo.
Nixon is active in liberal politics in the state, particularly on education issues.
She has not weighed in on her possible candidacy. A message left with her agent was not immediately returned Friday.
