Rob Kardashian’s Instagram account has been deactivated overnight after he shared a series of explicit images and made several expletive ridden accusations against ex-fiancée Blac Chyna.
But the 30-year-old could be see consequences far more serious if the model decides to take legal action over the shocking social media rant.
According to TMZ, California – the state in which both Rob and Chyna call home – has had a revenge porn law in place since 2013.
The law states: “A person who intentionally distributes the image of the intimate body part of another … knowing they’ll cause emotional distress” is guilty of a criminal misdemeanor.
Speaking with PEOPLE, legal expert Carrie Goldberg says that Rob could face up to six months in jail and a fine for the offence.
“Blac Chyna has the ability to take matters into her own hands and sue him,” the Internet abuse and sexual consent attorney said.
“The allegation of infidelity does not give someone the right to seek revenge in such a devastating way.”
Goldberg adds that the sock designer has made the work of a prosecutor “quite easy” by posting the motive behind his outrageous act online and when it comes to potential damages, Chyna could be set to receive “millions upon millions.”
In the posts, the new dad accused his ex-fiancée of cheating and shared a video of her kissing another man.
But the 29-year-old hit back at the claims in a since-deleted Snapchat image that alleges Kardashian beat her.
“Rob u did all this but u beat me up and try to act [like] it never happen!!!!” she said.
“U put hand on me I swear to god!!!!! On my kids but I’m supposed to be quiet because you’re a Kardashian.”
