Rest in peace actor Richard Hatch, who was a heartthrob to a generation of TV fans – most famously playing Captain Apollo in the blockbuster science fiction series Battlestar Galactica.

The star, who was 71, died of pancreatic cancer after being admitted to a hospice in LA.
He was famous for his roles in All My Children, and The Streets of San Francisco, before landing the role in the hit science fiction series.
