Rebecca Judd’s final weather bulletin before maternity leave didn’t go according to plan, with things turning awkward – quickly.
A very pregnant Judd was seen recoiling from sports anchor Tony Jones as he went in for a kiss goodbye.
Jones, who put his arm around Bec and kept it there as they spoke, wished Bec ‘Good luck’ and leaned in for a kiss on the cheek, but a surprised Bec quickly squealed and pulled away.
Jones took a step back, crossed his arms, and said: ‘Ok, good, this is going well.’
The three broke out in laughter and Hitchener quickly wrapped up the show.
The awkwardness was not lost on either Judd or Jones as both have taken to Twitter to laugh off the incident.
Sharing a picture on Instagram, Juss wrote: ‘Okaaaaaaaaay then. Final weather bulletin before maternity leave didn’t quite go to plan but as always, thanks to my wonderful@9newsmelbourne family for the laughs.@phitchener9 @tonyjones9.’
