While the official Royal Ascot website states it is “synonymous with sartorial elegance,” it appears as though Princess Eugenie missed the memo.
Snapped attending the carriage parade at the prestigious racecourse on Tuesday, the 27-year-old’s outfit choice raised eyebrows for all the wrong reasons.
Despite the scorching heat, the royal donned a frumpy black and white spotted dress with a matching leather belt and a wide-brimmed hat.
Opting away from the ladylike floral trend seen on many of her fellow racegoers, Eugenie’s edgy frock did little to flatter her hourglass frame.
Meanwhile, her sister Princess Beatrice was the picture of class in a white long-sleeved dress featuring soft pink embellishment and nude heels.
Kate Middleton also turned heads on the day, choosing an Alexander McQueen bridal-inspired lace ensemble.
