Wedding bells might be ringing sooner than we expected for Princess Eugenie and her nightclib manager boyfriend.
The Daily Mail reports Jack Brooksbank has arrived at Balmoral Castle where he may ask the Queen for his girlfriend’s hand in marriage.
The pair have joined members of the royal family to celebrate Prince Harry’s 32nd birthday at the Queen’s holiday home.
An insider at the Castle told The Sunday Express: ‘You could call this weekend a rite of passage for Jack.
‘There is no way he would be invited to stay with the Queen unless he was being welcomed into the royal fold and the bosom of the family.’
A friend of Jack’s added: ‘You could say he was somewhat apprehensive about going to Balmoral. But Jack has no side to him and will just be himself.’
Eugenie and Jack have been together since 2010, after friends introduced them in the Swiss ski resort of Verbier.
One friend told the Express: ‘There was an immediate attraction and they have been together ever since.
‘Eugenie was studying at Newcastle university when they met and Jack was working as a waiter in London, but they made the relationship work.’
