It’s been almost 20 years since Princess Diana was killed in a car accident, but Prince William says he misses her every day.
William was comforting a 14-year-old boy, who lost his own mother, when he offered some advice, People reports.
‘Time makes it easier,’ he told grieving Ben Hines during a visit to the Keech Hospice in Luton, England. ‘I know how you feel. I still miss my mother every day – and it’s 20 years after she died.’
Ben’s mother died from cancer in June last year. His father Gary Hines, 48, a gardener from Luton, said, ‘I was getting all choked up towards the end when Ben was talking about his mum.’
As a parting piece of wisdom, William told the family: ‘Promise me that you will talk to each other.’
Prince William was 15 years old when his mother Diana passed away.
