As news of his burgeoning relationship with Suits star Meghan Markle breaks, Prince Harry has cancelled a top-secret visit to Toronto to reunite with his love.
Set to jet across the pond for a romantic rendezvous with his stunning secret girlfriend yesterday, Harry announced to her he needed to cancel his scheduled British Airways flight.
‘The flight was booked last week but he was a no-show. The crew for the British Airways flight knew the Prince was booked to travel with them. It appears he pulled out at the last minute and decided not to travel,’ a source told the Evening Standard.
With reports claiming the duo met in May while Harry, 32, was attending the Invictus Games in Toronto – where Meghan films Suits – sources have confirmed to People magazine the two have been dating for ‘a couple of months’.
Spotted sporting matching beaded bracelets, Meghan is believed to have met up with Harry on several occasions in London, with Us Weekly reporting she’s been a regular visitor to Harry’s Kensington Palace home.
‘He’s happier than he’s been for many years,’ a source tells the Daily Express. ‘They are taking each week as it comes and just enjoying each other’s company but it’s fair to say that they love seeing each other and there’s a definite chemistry between them.’
While sources say the duo are ‘just taking it a step at a time’, the Express is reporting the 35-year-old Suits star already has the seal of approval from Prince William and Kate Middleton, having met them during one of her visits.
‘William and Kate really liked her and she fitted in straightaway,’ the source said. ‘Meghan is a very confident and intelligent woman and she’s not overawed mixing with royalty. That’s one of the things Harry admires about her.’
An avid humanitarian, divorcee Meghan is a global ambassador for World Vision Canada, making her a great match for the eligible prince.
‘Harry loves to hear about Meghan’s humanitarian work,’ the source said. ‘She is sassy, smart and vivacious and he just adores her love of life.’
