Prince Harry has given Meghan Markle the gift of security.
Shortly after the news broke, Prince Harry expressed his concern for his new girlfriend’s safety in press release, saying their relationship ‘is not a game – it is her life and his’.
Now, the prince plans to foot the bill for a personal body guard to protect the Suits actress, which is said to cost £50,000 a year.
A source told The Evening Standard‘s Robert Jobson: ‘His Royal Highness has made it clear that he believes Miss Markle’s personal safety is paramount.’
But added; ‘It comes down to a matter of cost, who is paying for what.’
