Make no mistake, Prince Harry is serious about his new flame Meghan Markle.
As news of their clandestine relationship breaks, People magazine has revealed the romance is far more than just a cross-Atlantic fling – with the young royal introducing his girlfriend to his father, Prince Charles.
As the world questions whether or not a once-divorced, American actress would be welcomed into the royal family, sources have confirmed to the publication that Harry, 32, is moving full-steam ahead with the 35-year-old Suits starlet – and an engagement is on the cards.
‘That is certainly a possibility,’ one source tells the magazine. ‘It is certainly one possible outcome. It’s pretty serious, so we will see.’
Dating seriously for about two months after an initial meeting in Toronto in May, the pal tells People ‘Harry is pretty serious about her.’
Adds another friend: ‘It’s great. They have a lot in common and I’m sure they will get on very well.’
While both Kensington Palace and Meghan’s reps have declined to comment on the burgeoning love story, a close friend of Harry’s says, ‘People need to let them go their own way and see what happens.’
