It’s official.
Prince Harry has given the biggest indication yet that his relationship with Meghan Markle is getting serious, fast by introducing her to one of the most important women in his life…Kate Middleton.
The Suits actress and the Duchess had their first official meeting upon Harry and Meghan’s return to London following their romantic Norwegian getaway earlier this month.
‘Kate was really looking forward to meeting Meghan and she knew how important it was to Harry.
‘They are very close and he really values her opinion on girlfriends,’ a close friend reports to The Sun.
‘Obviously Harry’s mother, Princess Diana died when he was very young so Kate really fulfils that older sister/maternal role.
‘It went really well and Meghan was very excited about meeting her.’
Although Meghan had already met Prince William two months ago at Kensington Palace, Kate had remained at their Norfolk home, Amner Hall – however following her 35th birthday celebrations last week, Kate travelled down to London especially to meet the woman Harry has become so besotted with.
And according to the news publication, Meghan even got to meet princess Charlotte.
The friend added: ‘Harry and Meghan went over to Kate’s apartment in Kensington Palace.
“William was also there and she got to play with Charlotte who she just adored.
“Meg had bought Kate a small birthday present – a very smart leather-bound ‘dream diary’ for her thoughts and ideas which Kate loved.
“This just shows how serious Harry is.
“He wants to take their relationship to the next level.
“They had an amazing time on their trip to the Arctic Circle and Harry had pulled out all the stops.”
