Prince Charles was photographed in an awkward embrace when he greeted Queen Letizia of Spain.
The British royal seemed uncertain on how to greet the Queen of Spain when she arrived alongside her husband, King Felipe, at Clarence House for afternoon tea.
He appeared to get a little too close to comfort for the Spanish royal, leaving her slightly flustered.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia were in London for three days.
The Spanish royals also met with the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh in a ceremony on Horse Guards Parade. It is reportedly Prince Philip’s final state visit before he retires from royal duties.
Prince Harry is also expected to attend the state banquet held at Buckingham Palace for his first official role at a state banquet.
