Prince Charles and Camilla have announced they will be heading Down Under to attend the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in April 2018.
According to the Courier Mail, the pair are set to fly the British flag after accepting a formal invitation from Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk back in March – making it the first official royal visit to the Gold Coast in more than half a century.
The Prince and the Duchess of Cornwall are expected to combine their official duties at the Games with a holiday in the Sunshine State.
And although Prince Philip has officially retired from public duties Games officials are still hopeful Queen Elizabeth may yet travel to the Gold Coast.
