Jon Voight has cast his fractured relationship with his daughter aside in a bid to save her life, according to a sensational US report today.
With the actress tipping the scales at a tiny 41kg since her divorce from Brad Pitt, friends say Jon is fearing the worst.
He convinced his 41-year-old daughter to meet him for dinner in Beverly Hills last week, where sources say he begged her to check into a long-term rehab facility for eating disorders.
“If Jon is involved, it HAS to be serious,” a source tells US magazine Globe. “They’ve been battling for years.
A few days later, a noticeably stressed Jon was seen wringing his hands as he told reporters, “I give my daughter all the love in the world.”
Adds a source, “Angie’s recovery is her dad’s number one concern. He’s afraid he won’t survive.”
