They’re currently basking in their post-wedded bliss.
But fans of Pippa Middleton might be shocked to learn that her new husband James Matthews is harbouring a truly heartbreaking secret.
Back in 1999, the 41-year-old’s younger brother Michael Matthews vanished while scaling Mount Everest.

The experienced mountaineer became separated from his team when heavy snow and fierce gales hit the mountain’s infamous Death Zone, which is more than 8,000 metres high.
According to The Mirror, his body was never found.
At 22, Michael was attempting to become the youngest Brit to climb the world’s highest peak.
It’s reported that James and Michael enjoyed a strong bond, with the siblings only 18 months apart in age.

The pair’s younger brother, Spencer Matthews – who shot to fame in the reality TV show Made in Chelsea – previously opened up about the tragic incident in his 2014 autobiography, Confessions of a Chelsea Boy.
“His loss was devastating for the family and over time this became worse because the circumstances surrounding Michael’s death have never been fully explained,” he wrote.
“James took the news badly. With just a year and a half between them, he and Mike were the closest of friends.”
“The loss was heartbreaking for James,” he added.
