Pink has unveiled her secret weapon as she works to lose 15kg for her hugely anticipated world tour – and it only costs $5!
The singer has revealed that she’s incorporated resistance bands into her regime, loving that the budget workout tool – which costs just a few dollars from Kmart – can be used anywhere, any time.
But while the mum-of-two has long been known for her muscly and toned physique, she’s been more relaxed about her workout and diet regime since welcoming son Jameson last December.
As a result, she’s worked with celebrity trainer Jeanette Jenkins to make resistance band exercises – which can be done while her baby is sleeping at home – a crucial addition to her routine.
‘She’s a mama now, she has a new baby and daughter Willow – she doesn’t want any mum working themselves to the ground just to fit into their pre-baby jeans,’ a source close to the singer told New Idea. ‘That’s why she loves resistance bands – she can exercise while she’s watching TV or while Jameson is napping.’
The 38-year-old has spoken openly about the importance of not pressuring new mums to lose weight too quickly. Taking to Instagram in recent months, Pink posted hashtags ‘#slowandsteadywinstherace’ alongside one photo of her working out, as well as ‘#feelingmyself’ and ‘#strongismygoal’ on another.
On one gym photo, the star hit out at harsh body standards in another emotional post – calling on women to not be bullied about their bodies.
‘Would you believe I’m 160 pounds [72kg] and 5’3” [160cm]? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese.’
