But ‘the show must go on’ was given a whole new meaning on Tuesday night during the singer’s Beautiful Trauma Liverpool gig when a concert goer gave birth to a baby girl in the middle of the show.

Pink fan Denise Jones was with her niece Chloe Dryhurst in the main stand of Liverpool FC’s Anfield Stadium waiting for the singer to perform her first song, when she started to go into early labour.

As the iconic opening number Get The Party Started echoed round the arena, paramedics John Matthews and Dani Berg fought through the crowds to reach 36-weeks-pregnant Ms Jones.

“When we reached her, it was quite clear the patient was heavily pregnant and showing signs of being in labour,” Mr Matthews, who was on standby as a crowd doctor for the Anfield concert, told the Liverpool Echo.

With the help of the crowd, the paramedics moved Ms Jones to a First Aid room beneath the main stand and incredibly, delivered her baby girl in “less than five minutes”, Entertainment Weekly reports.

“We didn’t have time to get concerned or worried, we just had to crack on with it.

“There was no equipment in the first aid room, just a couple of beds. This doesn’t happen very often, I’d never delivered a baby in Anfield before! When things go well, it’s always a good feeling.”

In honour of her daughter’s sensational arrival, Denise named her healthy baby girl after her favourite popstar: Dolly Pink.

The 32-year-old mother-of-three told the Liverpool Echo she had planned to call her baby girl Dolly Louise, but because she was born during the concert changed her middle name to Pink.

Denise’s niece Chloe took to social media to share the happy news, tweeting: “Baby Dolly Pink born at Anfield whilst watching P!nk concert!

“Mum and baby are doing amazing, thank you to the amazing paramedics that delivered her!”

Paramedic Dani (@danithedoc) replied with a sweet message, saying: “Mum did all the hard work, we just had to catch!”
