In an explosive interview with Sunday Night, the paleo enthusiast and My Kitchen Rules judge revealed details of the debilitating shyness he’s suffered since he was a child.

I was a really shy kid at school, that’s for sure,’ he admitted to Sunday Night journalist Alex Cullen.

‘It’s been something that’s sort of been with me all my life – even now I like to keep a little low profile, believe it or not.’

Pete insists he leads a ‘quiet life’ on a hobby farm on the NSW north coast with wife Nicola Robinson and his two daughters from a previous marriage, 12-year-old Chilli, and India, 10.

‘My family, my family unit, my kids, my wife, our animals and I live a pretty quiet life,’ Pete said.

The former Sydney restaurateur also addressed his controversial claims about sunscreen, dairy and fluoride in the in-depth interview.

The 43-year-old confirmed that, despite undying speculation of a rift, he and fellow judge Manu Feildel are actually ‘best mates’.
