Patti Newton has opened up about her personal Christmas nightmare, which has seen the grandmother-of-four left without any presents just three days before the holiday.
Speaking to Today Extra, the showbiz stalwart says she is trying to remain optimistic after thieves stole all her presents from the boot of her car.
‘I had everything but never mind, it’s Christmas and, look, someone is going to really enjoy those gifts that I chose,’ said the71-year-old.
‘Part of the deal is we’re trying to take the stress out of Christmas, us “Nanna Squad”, and one of the things you have to do is you have to shop early. But what I forgot to mention is you don’t put them in the boot of your car just in case your car is broken into and they take the lot!’
Patti says she now has to replace all her gifts in record time, but the important thing is nobody was hurt.
‘You’ve got to take the good with the bad, I guess,’ she says.
