She was happily married to Patrick Swayze for 34 years until the actor sadly passed away in 2009, but Lisa Niemi still has one regret.
A few months after Patrick passed away after his battle with pancreatic cancer, Lisa gave talk on grief in California where she opened up about her regrets, reports Women’s Own.
‘My regret is that I didn’t tell him that I loved him enough over that entire 34 years,’ Lisa said.
The couple had their fair share of difficulties, separating in 2003 for one year as Patrick battled alcoholism. However, after a stint in rehab the couple got back together.
‘I am so grateful for what I had and my connection to him, and part of me believes that I will see him again,’ Lisa added, ‘and I’m just going to have to go on until then.’
Lisa and Patrick met at the Houston Ballet Dance company and began dating when she was 15 years old. The couple married in 1975, and remained married until his death, aged 57, on September 14, 2009.
Lisa, now 60, remarried Jeweler Albert DePrisco in 2014.
