Just weeks after revealing her tragic cancer news, Olivia Newton-John is battling fresh heartbreak over daughter Chloe Lattanzi’s latest social media outburst.
Chloe, 31, came under fire from fans last week after posting, deleting… then reposting a shock selfie that followers deemed ‘scarily unhealthy’.
She then spoke at length about how she had been ‘sobbing on the floor’ for hours, was in ‘so much pain’ and that her struggle to please people would kill her one day.
This is just the latest in a long line of bizarre online stunts the troubled blonde has been involved in since Olivia revealed she was suffering from stage four breast cancer some 25 years after she first beat the disease.
And now, sources say Chloe’s online meltdown has left Olivia, 68, heartbroken.
‘Olivia is absolutely devastated by this whole episode. She’s been in floods of tears and can barely believe it’s happening,’ an insider reveals.
‘She’s devastated that her illness has taken such a heavy toll on Chloe. Obviously Chloe has battled her share of problems over the years, but when she read Chloe speak about how much she’s struggling and how close to the brink she is, it upset Olivia.’
Chloe initially sparked concern when she posted an Instagram photo in which she posed with her back arched and a cigarette dangling provocatively from her lips.
Wearing low-rise jeans and a crop top, the troubled blonde highlighted her tiny waist and protruding rib cage.
‘98% angel,’ she captioned the worrying image.
With many concerned that her mum’s medical drama may have taken its toll on the star – labelling Chloe as ‘unhealthy’ and urging her to ‘please eat something’ – others were quick to blast the medicinal marijuana advocate for smoking while her mother is battling cancer.
‘Your mum is battling cancer and you post a picture smoking a cigarette? I think you are cool, but this may not get the best response,’ one fan wrote.
