Olivia Newton-John’s only daughter Chloe Lattanzi is battling to stay strong for her beloved mum, as the pop superstar faces what promises to be an extremely tough battle with cancer.
Aspiring singer Chloe is ‘absolutely distraught’ over Olivia’s heartbreaking diagnosis, and sources say she’s determined to be by her mum’s side throughout her treatment for the disease, which has spread beyond the breast. Her mum’s first diagnosis, 25 years ago, was a devastating blow for Chloe – who was a small child at the time.
The 31-year-old Instagram starlet was on a high before learning of the tragic news, having just bought a new home. But when Olivia’s health crisis was first publicly blamed on sciatica, Chloe issued a heartbreaking plea to fans, begging, ‘Will all of u send healing prayers for my mamas back please’.
Once happy to share her life on Instagram, Chloe has now closed her account to the public, a move her mum is said to support, as she worries deeply about how the crisis will affect her only child.
‘Olivia hurts just as much as Chloe when she’s trolled,’ says a source.
Chloe is now struggling to compose herself for the sake of her beloved mother.
‘She’s completely shaken by this,’ adds the source. ‘She’ll never forget the nightmare of the last time so she’s distraught they’re facing it again.
‘Her dad [actor Matt Latanzi] is supporting her, but Chloe hasn’t stopped crying.
‘She’s a very fragile person at the best of times. She’s trying to get herself together.’
Now friends and fans around the world are hoping for the best for both women.
