Fighting back tears, the 68-year-old Aussie icon reveals that she’s ‘scared’ of what the future holds, but is determined to beat cancer once again.

It’s the first in-depth tell-all that the Grease star has given since revealing her new cancer battle in May.

Olivia first fought breast cancer in 1992, beating the disease through chemotherapy and a partial mastectomy. But 25 years later, she was again devastated to learn her cancer had returned and metastasised in her lower back – leading to her biggest fight yet.

‘Of course, it’s scary, I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t scary. But I intend to be healthy,’ Olivia told 60 Minutes. ‘I’ve had and I’m having an amazing life… everyone goes through something. I’m doing OK.’

Admitting that she’s had ‘so many battles’, Olivia reveals how telling her 31-year-old daughter Chloe about her diagnosis nearly broke her.

Tearing up, Olivia swallowed back her emotion and appeared visibly strained as she admitted: ‘Well, that was… yeah, that wasn’t easy.’

Earlier this year, Olivia was forced to cancel a concert tour due to severe back pain, which she believed was due to sciatica. Weeks later, the singer – who’s married to wellness tycoon John Easterling – was devastated to learn her pain was, in fact, caused by a tumour, the result of her breast cancer returning after more than two decades.

‘In addition to natural wellness therapies, Olivia will complete a short course of photon radiation therapy and is confident she will be back later in the year, better than ever, to celebrate her shows,’ her reps said in a statement released on social media in May.
