He’s Offspring’s handsome new man, set to ruffle feathers in Nina Proudman’s already-chaotic life.
And after a string of failed romances since the passing of her great love Patrick Reid, played by Matt Le Nevez, it seems St Francis Hospital’s new crisis and culture manager Harry Crewe is just what the doctor ordered for the beloved single mum.
In tonight’s episode of the popular series, we are introduced to Harry, played by Aussie actor Alexander England.
Just like Patrick, Harry leaves a less-than-friendly first impression on Nina when she meets him after staff at St Francis are accused of misconduct.
Of course, when Nina first met Patrick, they similarly didn’t think much of one another.
News.com.au are reporting that the makers of the show describe Harry as an ‘arrogant Mr Fixit, who initially puts Nina off-side… but first impressions are not what they seem’.
The new actor further explains, ‘Harry is an outsider who is brought into the hospital which is a space that characters like Nina have so much ownership of. He has his own agenda which is resolving an image issue at the hospital. He doesn’t know the hospital staff at all so he is assessing them and that is how he comes into contact with Nina.
‘Our characters are trying to figure each other out. We’re very different. There’s a bit of friction because we’ve got different agendas.’
Patrick was killed off by creators in a shock car accident that left Offspring fans mourning – arguably still mourning, in fact.
Offspring airs on Network Ten Wednesdays at 8.30pm.
