Despite being one of the world’s most recognised actresses, Nicole Kidman is first and foremost a mum.
So when the 49-year-old’s two daughters asked her not to take on a new role, it was a no brainer for the dedicated mum.
The Lion actress had been set to reprise her West End theatre role in the upcoming New York production of Photograph 51, however her daughters Sunday Rose and Faith were unhappy with their mum spending so much time away from home.
‘Photograph 51 was such a profound, spontaneous, incredible experience. I loved that instantaneous reaction, which you never have with film,’ Nicole revealed in a recent interview.
‘I wanted to do Photograph 51 on Broadway, that was the plan, she continued, ‘But then I put the plan to my girls and they said nope!
‘When I did it, it was hard, I wasn’t there for bedtimes, I wasn’t there for dinner and this is where a balance between work and family is impossible.
‘You have to make a choice and it will always be them,’
