New JonBenet bombshell: Brother’s interview with cops led to alleged weapon

Claims a baseball bat was used to kill her

The brother of tragic murdered child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey was discounted by police as a suspect in her murder, when an interview two years after her death led them to alleged evidence that pointed at another suspect – including a claimed murder weapon.

That’s according to a bombshell report today in US magazine National Enquirer, which runs counter to the narrative promoted on the recent hit documentary, The Case of JonBenet Ramsey. That show controversially suggested Burke had killed her in fit of rage by bashing her over the head with a flashlight.

Burke was interviewed by police in 1998 when he was just 11 years old – two years after the Christmas day killing of his six-year-old sister – and according to the report, he gave them invaluable evidence which helped them to rule him out as a suspect from the official murder case.

A law enforcement insider told the Enquirer: ‘After this interview, police believe they identified the weapon – the baseball bat – that was used to fracture JonBenet’s skull.’

The recent TV documentary has provoked an angry response from lawyer L. Lin Wood, who represents the Ramsey family.

He told People magazine: ‘I’m absolutely going to sue [programme makers] CBS on behalf of Burke as a result of the false accusations and the fraud of the docuseries.’

He added that the show was filled with: ‘Lies, misrepresentations, distortions and omissions.’
