Groom-to-be Chris is reduced to a sobbing mess after a highly-charged moment with his usually emotionally unresponsive father, Geoff. His dad – who has steadfastly refused to accept his son’s homosexuality and impending marriage to fiance Grant – appears to offer some level of affection and support to his son, even venturing an ‘I love you’ and a hug – before disappearing out the door, an unopened letter in his hand. Is it a sad rejection, a bitter end?
Chris is left behind, alone in his apartment, sobbing uncontrollably as he contemplates what is about to happen. Could this be his final goodbye?
The tormented family first came to prominence after Chris was coldly rejected by both of his parents a few weeks ago, in one of the most talked-about TV moments in years.
